So, Jacqui D. called my attention to the fact that for a few years now we’ve run what some people have come to call our “summer chipper” at around this time.  While it doesnt really fit with the Strength Bias Programming, traditions DO matter; so for those that want to take this on, do the full version (last performed 6-7-13 in 10 to 100 format).  Everyone else; cut the listed volumes in half and you have a fast and tidy sprint.  Remember, Open Gym is Sunday not Saturday this week, so you have a day to rest and recover.

FOR TIME:  capped at 40 minutes.

100 Double unders

90 Airsquats

80 Situps

70 Pushups

60 KB Swings 24/16

50 Box Jumps

400 M run

30 Push Press 95/65

20 Burpees

10 Deadlifts 275/185

    Thank you Brock for scheduling this chipper! It’s one of my favorites and one I’ve done on my b-day for the past couple of years!

    31:24 rx’d and PR – getting better with age 😉


  11. BP- 80×3, 85×8, 87×1. 85 was my 1 rep max
    Chipper – 29:45 in reverse order with singles and 135 deadlift. 4 minutes faster than last time but I was pregnant then…


    • Actually 37 min last June, 30 and 36 before that in the correct order. For my own information

    Chipper WOD: 38:40 scaled to 100 single jump ropes, 24″ box step-ups, and DL @ 185#


  14. Skipped BP (shoulder is sore )…. Wod 28:10 with a lot of scaling (300 singles, kb eye level, box steps, skipped push press because of shoulder, and did DL at 225)

    Whole Chipper: 25:17 rx


  16. First time for me but this workout was fun! Chipper- 34:23 (I was just hoping to finish before 40 min cap) very excited!! I scaled to singles and DL @135.

    P.s. The push ups SUCKED! 😉

    Bench press I did 4×3 @ 70 (least favorite of the lifts). But 1RM was 50 in nov!
