    It was so hard!!! No joke! I was pissed that it was that hard thinking I haven’t lifted in 3 months. I felt better when Susan reminded me I haven’t done over head work since last July because of my shoulder surgery.

    • Larry, I would count the 135 and 155 as warmup sets and get 4 good sets of a heavy weight. Maybe 180. I think you will see better results that way.

  5. 7:00 am is tough…I don’t function very well

    Deadlift: 135×3, 185×3, 205×3 – attempted to try 225 thinking it was 185 and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t lift it

    work: 17:04 @ 65lbs – last time at 50lbs in 10 something

    Note to self: DO NOT test out in the morning next week!


  6. Shoulder press performed Saturday. 170×2, 160×3, 160×1, 160×0
    Worst day shoulder pressing in a while. Last effort I had been able to get 160×5. Did, however, PR GRACE immediately thereafter in 2:29.

    Today’s work capacity in 11:34 @ 135 PR. Prior best was 12:38. Changed my approach from “sprint the 1st round and try to hang on” to the following: Every action except Box Jumps got split into 9 then 6 reps. 9 in the first 30sec, 6 in the second 30 sec. Box jumps were just a steady drip. I was able to hold to this without tons of discomfort until S20 in rd 3. Then it was hard. Arrived at the 3rd rd of Hang cleans at 11 and went unbroken to finish. Very painful. Slow recovery.

  9. Ok. I got obsessed with a number and th at made me miss reps.
    Shoulder press 90,95, missed at 100, tried again an got 1 rep. Yay! And boo 😦

    WOD 13:29 , scaled T2B. Shave 1:30 off last time of 14:59. Woot woot!

  12. SP 95×3, 115×3, 125×2, 95×3 (felt a little discomfort in my shoulder at 125 and stop on the 2nd rep). Wod scaled everything k2c, s2o 95, step boxes, HC 95…..13:17………… (1st shoulder workout in a couple of weeks. Shoulder feels pretty good right now)


  13. SP 155, 175, 195, X’s 3 200 X’s2 felt strong enough for X’s3 but while I was going for 3rd rep I got another exertion headache, worst one yet, day over…super bummed…taking a few days of lifting off…hope to be ready for test out week.


  14. Worked heavy clean singles. Didn’t go over 225. Pulled 235 and got scared.
