WOD for Thursday 8-14-14

August 14, 2014

Three 1o minute periods as follows

A) 10 Minutes Max Rep 10 Airdyne Calories, 10 Burpees

B) Clean and Jerk – 1 Rep Max

C)  E O MOM x 5 – 15 m Shuttle run for reps

 

5 minute rest between each period. That’s a pretty full day,  do what you can to arrive on time.

    Shittles: 63? Maybe 64? I just know I tied Clark so whatever he got.

    C&J: 215, could’ve got 10 or 20 more but these were my first heavy lifts since hurting myself a couple weeks ago.

  12. I had done the AD/Burpee wod about 10 days ago for the second time and got 177 (8 rds+10 AD + 7 burpees). I think 9 is possible but it will take a real focus on fast burpees from the very beginning. I did the GG # 2 WOD (3,6,9,12 etc OTB burpees and S2O) and PR-ed by 8 reps at 4 shy of completing the round of 18. BUT, this was fresh. In the past I’ve done the Deads/Box Jump wod first. I *DID* consciously pace even my earlier OTB burpees in an effort to minimize my breaks in the S2O portion and that worked, with my first break coming 9 reps into round of 15. Then rested30 minutes and did a sort of hybrid of WODs 1 and 3 as follows: 18 deads/20 wallballs/10 snatches, 12 deads/20 wb/10 snatch, 6 Deads/20/10. So taking out the box jumps from WOD 1 and the Doubles from WOD 3 to protect an inflamed achilles. Anyway, I went 8:03 above and the 18 deads/20 wallballs leadoff was a real sh*t sandwich. Good medium length Metcon.
