WOD for Thursday 17-21-16. Olympic Lifting

July 21, 2016

A) Technique-10 Minutes on the split snatch.

B) 10 Minutes–work to a heavy single in the full snatch.

C) 50 Overhead Squats for time.  Competitors 135/95.  Fitness athletes 95/65.  Every Drop: you must do 5 laps of 5 M shuttle run before you can resume. Bar comes off the ground.

    WOD 7:21 RX 5 sets of 10 plan. Worked best for me.


  3. Heaviest snatch: 75 lbs – can’t seem to get past this weight
    work: 7:40 @ 55 lbs

    snatch & ohs = weakest movements

  6. 1 rep max ohs = 125

    2:27 at 65 lbs. I clearly (yet unintentionally) sandbagged this workout. I did all 50 unbroken. Whoops.

  7. Split Snatch 155
    Wod 5:34 at 115
    I dropped 3 times.


  8. Heaviest snatch: 73.5 (1.5lb pr- but it was ugly)
    Opted out of WOD but did heavy double OHS @ 65,75,85 and then 1rm @90
    Then did pause work on clean and jerk and hang clean doubles at a light weight @ Olympic lifting class.
